THE REST WE HAVE IN THE LORD

The moment we speak about the Lord being our Shepherd or your Shepherd , there is an  understanding projected in Psalms chapter 23 , where we become  aware that He the Shepherd makes us lie in fresh , tender green pastures.

The context and the prophetic meaning of being expressing in lying on green pastures in this prophetic insight, goes further than just us enjoying rest and physical provision from God.  Firstly to those of us who are filled by the Spirit of Christ – it should mean the rest and the direct provision of His voice and visions that appear to us even when we are asleep in that moment of rest.

It is important to note that God is not physical , He is ” God Spirit ” therefore anything that He teaches or reveals to us – always carry a spiritual identify before we even consider the physical side. No matter how physical a message that comes from God might appear, firstly for us His sons – it carries an aroma of God who is a Spirit God.

Therefore even when we talk about being led & resting on green pastures that are meant to physically feed the belly of a sheep for it to receive physical strength – to us who are in Christ it should firstly indicate God providing His voice to us in our spirit.

Now, a Shepherd in the context of this expose, without any shadow of a doubt represents the Holy Spirit because without the Holy Spirit, receiving and enjoying the Voice of God might be a dimension that could be difficult to access by few if not many.

Outside the Holy Spirit , there are many voices that are not anywhere near God’s kingdom but are fashioned in other words, the voice of God is found through the Holy Spirit and any voice that is outside the Holy spirit is usually not God’s kingdom based.

This is why to us, we have been privileged and required to experience visions that come from God. l often put it this way;  dreams are not just mere dreams but  dreams are visions from God to us His Beloved. Therefore dreams becomes a channel of communication which God directly speaks to us. The reason am putting it , in this direct way is  because our spirit never sleeps and God Himself doesn’t sleep. Which means in the spiritual realm or prophetic realm , we are always awake. It is only our physical bodies that demand a sleep from us as a form of rest.

Therefore everyone of us filled by faith and the word of God, is henceforth positioned to understand that – the word , “dream” is qualified only in the physical realm where we actually sleep but in the spiritual realm where we our life comes from, no one sleeps.

Spiritually speaking it is safe to say there is really nothing called a dream but only the voice of God that either appears to our spirit as sight or sound. The reason why it would seem I am emphasizing on the issue of dreams, is mainly because rest and sleep are associated with dreams. The word of God is made active after our faith has being made alive through the teaching of the word. Now, as the body of Christ , the moment we treasure our dreams as raw visions and the authentic voice that comes straight from God through the Holy Spirit, our faith is energized to gain the mastery that would aid us to maximize what the Lord is delivering to our spirit. Whether we are awake or asleep  our receptacles as positioned to receive premium communication and interaction with the Voice of Our Heavenly Father.

It is my uttermost prayer that we all will come to that place where we continually rest in the Voice and Sight that comes from God alone, making the still and restful waters of Psalms 23 a daily reality in our walk with the Lord.
