Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatians 6:7-9).
Investments are the means to gain control over the future. There are people who are concerned with today – as though tomorrow would never come. We take the time to groom ourselves to look presentable to the world. Whenever anyone fails to adhere to the acceptable norms of grooming, he/she is reduced in the eyes of people. It is for this reason that people who are possessed by the devil are never taken seriously in the society. Some have committed themselves to eating from garbage cans or like the man “Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains” (Mark 5:3)
Our theme verses say God is not mocked for whatever a man sows that shall he also reap. Make a conscious decision to make investments in your spirit man – the same way you go shopping for what to wear, you should include what your spirit will eat or wear. Feed your spirit with the word of God and engage in activities that grow your spirit man. Consciously sow to your spirit – engage in fasting and prayers as often as you can. Pray in the Holy Spirit to edify yourself.
Whatever you give attention to will grow. Do not give attention to fear, doubt and your flesh. Starve them of their most desired food to feed your spirit man. Listen to uplifting messages and train your ears to be receptive to God’s word and your life will blossom beyond your expectations. The investment you make in your life follows you beyond this life.
CONFESSION
To the glory of God, the Father, I am committed to sowing love, peace, forgiveness and encouragement to the people who come in contact with me. I sow to the spirit to reap life everlasting. Praise God.
