DISPENSERS OF GOD’S LOVE

We love Him because He first loved us. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? (1 John 4:19-20).

We have been called into the fellowship of God’s love. It will amount to an illegality for God to demand something from man that man doesn’t have capacity to give. The man in this context is the born-again believer in Christ Jesus. That man or woman is a product of love because he was begotten of the Father’s love. A dog doesn’t require prayers to live and function within the community of dogs. In this same way, a believer in Christ Jesus doesn’t require prayer to function or dispense God’s love.

Our opening Scriptures say we learned how to love because He first loved us. In order words, we are the product of His love. A child is going to speak the language that he hears all the time. When a believer in Christ Jesus makes the Word of God the food for his spirit, the love of God becomes the resultant effect – oozing out of him freely. It was this spiritual technology that Apostle Paul wrote about when he said “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18). The word of God is the source code this technology runs on. When you subject your life to the word of God, you begin to see through the lens of God’s word and the love of God dispenses from your words and actions.

You cannot love God and hate your brother or sister. To be an effective witness of the saving power of God, the love of God must be the foundation. Don’t hate the sinner – you can never win him/her over to Christ by hating them. Love them but do not approve or partake of their sins. It is through our love that many feel and experience the love of God. It was the other day that Apostle Paul said “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” (Romans 5:5). It is time to dispense the love of God which has been lavished on you to your family, friends and community.

CONFESSION

The Love of God has been shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit; I am a dispenser of the love of God to my world. Through me, the Lord comforts, heals and empowers many through His love. Glory Hallelujah!
