Contact God

CONTACT GOD
(Mark 5:24-34)
24And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

To contact something or someone is to touch, to connect, to reach out. Most relationships are related to contact. Right from the creation of man, God has always wanted to have contact with man which formed the basis of His relationship. Man enjoyed steady contact and communication with God from his first day until the very day man decided to be disobedient to God’s instruction and the consequence of it was man looking for every reason to run away from God as illustrated in the Book of Genesis. Even after man disobeyed God, it still did not stop God from coming to look for man.

In Genesis 3:8-10 :
8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
The connection between  man and God was severed and because of this God needed to reconnect Himself back to man through the person of the second Adam who is JESUS CHRIST.  In 1 Corinthians 15 vs 45 the Bible declared : “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.”
Whatever disagreement there had been in the past between man and God. He wants to lovingly reach out to man again.
John 14:6 says Jesus said to him I am the way and the truth and the life; No one comes to the Father except by me. Are you in a situation were you feel you’ve lost contact with Jesus?,
Does it feel like you’ve come to a dead end? Are you discouraged, frustrated, hopeless or even considering suicide? Well the word of God is here to redirect you and reconnect you back to the one who can make a way were there seems to be no way.
A word of caution to us: do you know it is very possible to be close to Jesus and still not receive contact. Why am I saying so look at the story of the woman with the issue of blood so many people surrounded Jesus and failed to make contact with Him( Mark 5:25-34). So I make bold to say only those who are ready to be intimate with Jesus can make contact with Him. Are you ready to make contact with Jesus?  I have listed here 5 important actions you must take to make contact with Jesus and it starts by you going to read carefully those Bible references associated with each action.
1. You must be saved, become born again John 3:3
2.You must get close(intimate) with him James 4:8
3.You must not look back Luke16:32
4. You must live a life of holiness 1Peter 1:16
5. You must engage His word Joshua 1:8.
I bless God for this wonderful medium for us to contact the ever abiding presence of our loving God. His desire is to maintain steady contact with all of us through fellowship and His Spirit has He poured out on all flesh to usher everyone that desires to remain intimate with Him , the Only True and wise God
