BEAUTY OF WORSHIP IN SPIRITUAL GIFTING

Our character as a gifted child of God appears to be at risk when we excel only in operating in the gifts of the spirit but failing to excel in pouring out our heart to the Lord.

Being accurate and deep in the gift of prophecy can be such a glorious experience but not being accurate and sensitive to deep understanding of pure worship has a way of exposing our character to corruption.  Such corruption can be introduced slowly and steadily by the issues of the world which the enemy would use to affect your heart for the Lord.

From the beginning of the earth, the Devil has never had the power or authority to create anything , the only strategy that he can deploy is try to influence any man who is not grounded in both his character and the matters of the heart. As we have this perfect understanding that the enemy can only the display an ability over our life only if we  directly open the door for him to have access to our thoughts and heart. With this understanding, l would love to believe that a man who is still double minded in his place of worship is a man that is at risk to worship the enemy unaware by entertaining self glorified thoughts that might come from the enemy.

It is my belief as l present this word presentation to you child of God that the spiritual ability that Jesus operated in part of which are understanding the meaning and the significance of what worship  in the heart of God. Such deep understanding is one of the major reason that God gave Jesus the ability to resist the devil when the Spirit of the Lord had led him into the wilderness in Mathew chapter Four for temptations.

The devil by every rational means tried to tempt Jesus not only for him to cause Jesus to abort his God ordained assignment but to as well try to own the worship of Jesus. This agenda by the devil failed dismally to succeed mainly because Jesus understood that when it comes to worship it is not designed to be shared, it only belong to God and Him alone. Therefore that knowledge preserved His character and heart to remain still fixed in God. This alone, l believe reveals to us that before we rush into teaching people on how to excel in their spiritual gifts. We must consider first, the place of  grooming and equipping with foundational and fundamental aspects of the true meaning and ministry of worship.

You see, worship does not only give honour to God but worship makes us understand Jesus beyond being the son of God but also as the Lord who is our Lord that rules over our lives and motives. That perfect ability of the Spirit of the Lord being able to led us and guide us every step seems to be the defining meaning of success and excellence in the manifestation of spiritual gifts.

The importance of us approaching Jesus as the Lord, can never be over emphasized, it will help us understand in an effective way that just like faith, with out true worship, it will be impossible to please God with our spiritual gifts. It does appear to me that we may never worship God with the gift of healing and prophecy when our hearts are not in alignment and pure before the Lord.

Oh yes, when it comes to worshipping our Lord who is our beautiful Master, it is not in the display of our gifts that mattered most  but rather on our ability to surrender to His authority. Our hearts, minds and bodies through worship must be at surrender even to the point of pouring out our inner most hidden intentions because spiritually, worship exposes our heart to God in a way that we may comprehend with sensory perceptions.

It is my prayer today, May our strength as children of God never be rooted in how we are able to prophesy but on how we are just able to offer our hearts to Him just like King David in Bible days. The enemy can never have access to any person that submits to God as His Lord. The life of Jesus taught us very well that our secret life in God matters the most and it is what gives us great balance in character when it now comes to serving the Lord. When worship is understood, it is so easy for us to return and direct the all the honour and glory to God in the midst of God using us  to produce great testimonies through faith for His Kingdom.
