BE LED BY THE SPIRIT TODAY

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 18 vs 14 (KJV)

Have you ever thought about what it means to be led by the Spirit of God. The Greek word for to be led is “agō”, it means to lead, guide, direct, to conduct and it also means to lead by accompanying to (into) a place. Think about someone playing any of these roles where you are. I still recall the days I was in going through serious security drills in a law enforcement facility. Part of the drill was capturing and restraining a dangerous and violent fugitive with heavy metals, wrist cuffs and leg irons.
After we had subdued this fellow and secured him very tightly, it then becomes our responsibility to lead and guide him in everything. To make sure he doesn’t dash his foot against anything, ensure he does slip and fall because now that he has been restrained any fall could be fatal. Working as a law enforcement Officer comes with severe responsibility. The criminal could still be combative, yet you are to maintain your composure and be professional while leading him.
I have often wondered how I was able to cope with such demand and pressure but when I think about The Holy Spirit whose ministry has been to lead me, I appreciate His work in my life. There are times people would provoke you, say all manner of things against you, yet because the love of God constrains you, you walk away with a smile, calm and ever calculative. In life situations may become very aggressive and even offensive, friends becoming foes, colleagues becoming rivals. When it becomes very difficult to know who to trust or turn to, your explanations are being twisted even a candid effort for peace becomes misconstrued as actions of mischief. It is as if the whole word is caving in on you, attacks from every direction. Your peace of mind is under serious bombardment of all sorts. Can I tell you something there child of God, that is the time to turn to the one who has been called to go alongside with you in this life.

The Holy Spirit will never leave you nor forsake you, it doesn’t even matter what comes against you. Please consider these scriptures very closely and pay serious attention to what it says;

 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. Psalm 27 : 1-5 (KJV)

It is my prayer that when we come face to face with the violent storm of life, may we be yielded completely to the leading of the Holy Spirit for He is an extra-ordinary strategist, very skilled and knowledgeable in dealing with the issues of life and godliness. Glory Hallelujah.
