BE FRIENDLY

BE FRIENDLY

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32).

There are some believers in Christ Jesus who look like they are carrying the problems of the entire world on their shoulders. They are always serious and consider smiling a waste of time. The Word of God instructs us to be kind one to another.

The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul instructs us to be kind one to another and to be tenderhearted. Don’t be one of those people who take pleasure in making decisions that lead many to tears. It is easier to complain that nobody likes or calls you but the important question should rather be who do you like and who do you call? Become the change you want to see in others. Be kind and respectful to people on purpose. Rebecca was chosen to become Isaac’s wife because of her act of kindness. How can you explain that a stranger stopped her on the way and asked for water from her Pitcher and she not only obliged she offered to fetch water for the ten Camels “And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.” (Genesis 24:19)

Brothers and Sisters, be friendly; It doesn’t cost to be nice. Eliezer couldn’t overlook Rebecca’s kindness; he knew God had answered his prayers. One of the observable characteristics of anyone who has been with the Lord is kindness. The World is filled with so much wickedness; the Lord sent us to freely express his love to our community. People are more interested in experiencing Jesus through your kindness than they are in hearing your message.

Your friendliness and kindness at work, school, grocery store or while speaking to customer service agents communicate the love of God to them much more than you know. Be that Brother or Sister that offers to call and check on others, not the one who gets angry when nobody called. It makes sense why Jesus said “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets” (Matthew 7:12).

PRAYER

Precious Father, thank you for your love and kindness freely expressed in Christ Jesus to mankind. Help me Lord to respond with compassion when resentment seems like the right path to follow in the name of Jesus Christ.
