OUR GOD IS INTIMATE WITH US SAINTS!

My greatest desire is that I want to the whole world to know God is intimate. He’s not just the “big man in the sky”, as some people so lightly jest. He’s closer than your skin. He knows what you are going through. He knows about your children, your spouse, your siblings, your work, your wants, and desires. He knows your needs, He knows YOU. He is familiar with our weakness, our strengths, knows when we are sick, when we are lonely, when we are distracted, and through it all is fully devoted to us!

Often times we pray God into our circumstance as if He is so far away. Jesus walked on the water and met the disciples RIGHT WHERE THEY WERE. Another time, He was resting in the lower quarters of the ship that was being tossed in a raging storm just before being summoned to come speak peace to the storm. Even with doubting Thomas (who no longer doubted), He walked through the doors of the room where He was and let Thomas touch His nail scared hands to prove to Him He had risen.

Jesus did all these things to show us He is right where we are. He is not far from us and IT IS WRITTEN that He’ll never leave us or forsake us. This is His promise to us. If you read nothing further, let this be the take away today; GOD IS WITH US. Jesus is right there right now, right in the middle of everything you are walking through, waiting for you to acknowledge Him, pursue Him and give Him permission to move on your behalf.

Jesus so deeply desires to be your hero, let Him. Every circumstance is an opportunity for Him to prove Himself as your savior, your healer, your deliverer, your friend. Trust Him, talk with Him, surrender your trouble to Him. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you (IT IS WRITTEN). This is why we are sometimes allowed to go through trials, so that He can show us how much He loves us and will remain faithful to us. This this kindness that leads up to change our mind(repentance) when we feel we are lost and alone, to recognizing we are loved and taken care of.
